Ah Spring Break

""Just living isn't enough," said the butterfly, "one must also have freedom, sunshine, and a little flower."" -Hans Christian Anderson

Ah, Spring Break! I guess its purpose is to prepare me for the upcoming summer months. Though hopefully there will not be any snow this summer. I think that it has snowed just about everyday this week. But tomorrow we are to be set free. I'll be surprised if the next couple of days don't somehow include a couple of fishing poles, but hopefully there will be a few days of sunshine mixed in with some smores. I just can't wait to strap the kids in and feel the open road rumbling along beneath us. We have some biking planned and enough hiking to make the long weekend feel productive. I hope the kids will ejoy the bike trailer and red rock.

Where do you get all the quotes? I'd need like a personal blog quoter service that doled them out daily, like the 'word of the day' type of thing. You're good though, you get them to match up with what you're writing and everything. It stinks that it's been snowing for you. We had spring break last week and the Friday before it snowed. I was wishing everyone a Merry Aprilmas. Have fun on your trip. Eat some smores for me--the burnt kind.

By the way I like your username.

It's pronounced caramel, not carmel? Are they the same--like poe-tay-toe, poe-tot-oe or have I just always said it wrong? I like chewy caramel, but I don't like the soft, slimy kind--like the kind you get in Cadburry bars--if I'm going to eat Cadburry I want the fruit and nut kind. By the way I was reading your profile again and I appreciate the fact that you listed Dr. Pepper labels as a favorite read. :) I'd say diet coke labels but then I'd just be a less funny copy. Did you ever watch North and South on Netflix? If you haven't watched it yet I am going to nag you until you do. He is hot and it is really good, if for no other reason than the last ten minutes, which I have watched about 30 times. Why aren't you answering your home phone? What are you doing this summer and can I come along? P.S. you need to watch "The Vicar of Dibley", "Inspector Linley" and "Miss Marples".

P.P.S
You should read Austenland too. It's funny. It was written some Mormon chic who also writes children's books. I was looking her up online the other day and apparently she's won lots of awards. She wrote some youth fantasy books called Goose Girl and The Princess Academy.

I miss you. Reading your blogs has been making me think about you a lot. You're like my family soul mate or something. Last Christmas Robbie was saying that he thought there was some kind of personality similarity between us that he couldn't put his finger on and at the time I didn't really think so because I've always thought that we were pretty different, but when I read your blogs I sort of think he might be right. I love the way you just lay stuff right out on the line--it always makes me laugh really hard. Like when you say stuff like "I try to do and make stuff, but mostly I just clean up puke." That is so classically Amy.
